Beyond The Past is a community-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rebuilding lives, strengthening families, and creating opportunities for lasting change. Headquartered in North Carolina, we proudly serve communities across Guilford, Forsyth, Mecklenburg, and Iredell Counties — and extend our outreach and partnerships to international areas in need of support, education, and empowerment.
We believe that change happens one step at a time — through compassion, consistency, and collaboration. Every act of service, every shared resource, and every moment of hope helps move someone closer to stability and success.
Our Core Services

Rental & Utility Assistance: Helping families prevent eviction, homelessness, and service disconnections by offering financial relief and resource guidance.

Food Support & Weekly Feeding Program: Feeding individuals and families each Sunday morning in Greensboro, NC, and coordinating food distribution across the counties we serve.

Youth Entrepreneurship & Mentorship Program: A free program for ages 7–19 that builds leadership, creativity, and real business skills through hands-on learning and mentorship.

Job Training & Workforce Readiness: Empowering adults to re-enter or advance in the workforce with job preparation, resume support, and professional development.

Prisoner Reentry Support Services: Assisting returning citizens with housing, employment, life-skills training, and community reintegration.

Family Development & Case Management: Providing individualized plans, counseling, and referrals that strengthen families and promote long-term independence.

Community Engagement & Volunteer Programs: Hosting outreach events, seasonal drives, and volunteer opportunities that unite communities in compassion and service.

Beyond The Past empowers individuals and families to overcome barriers, rebuild stability, and create generational change through compassion, education, and opportunity. We are committed to transforming lives by providing access to housing and utility assistance, food support, workforce training, youth entrepreneurship, reentry programs, and family development services.
Serving Guilford, Forsyth, Mecklenburg, and Iredell Counties — and extending outreach internationally — we focus on disadvantaged, underserved, and culturally diverse populations, including the Jewish community and all who seek hope and a fresh start. Our mission is to restore dignity, promote economic independence, and build stronger, more resilient communities — one step, one family, and one future at a time.
